ATM concept validation: the challenge of Single Sky and next generation ATM Both projects provide meaningful input to refine the European approach to validation, summarised in the European Operational Concept Validation Metodolody E-OCVM adopted by the SESAR work programme.

During Week 38 there will be a 2 1/2 day workshop to brainstorm the Lessons Learnt for the project. The topic areas include assumptions, performance assessment, role of gaming exercises, validation in EP3, processes for concept refinement and lessons learnt on planning for validation. It is a project wide activity and invitations will be sent out to the participants by end June.

4-5 June

EP3 Influence modelling 6th workshop objectives: A. Finalise approach for Fuel Efficiency and Global Emissions Focus Areas. a. Confirm agreement with the changes that were made following the UK workshop (Workshop B). b. Provide further data where required. c. Present an initial run of the model. B. Make further progress with the quantification of Time Efficiency and Knock-On Effect. a. Confirm agreement with the changes that have been made following the workshop in London. b. Provide further information and values where values are not yet included. C. Begin the quantification of the Capacity Key Performance Area. a. Decision regarding which focus areas we should quantify (all, or perhaps selecting one focus area to start with). b. Review of those focus areas selected for quantification. D. Lessons Learnt. Plan for the completion of quantification of the model for these focus areas and the initial performance assessment at the next workshop (5th and 6th May in Farnborough).

Tool-based approach (en route). b. Algorithm-based approach (on stand operations). c. Expert judgement (en route, TMA operations). B. Make further progress with the quantification of Global Emissions and Fuel Efficiency, following on from the dis-cussion on the quantification techniques. C. Begin the quantification of the Time Efficiency and Knock On Effect focus areas. D. Plan for the completion of quantification of the model for these focus areas at the next workshop (7th and 8th April in Spain).

2nd WP3.3.1 Statistical Analysis working session

Review of the answers to the first questionnaire and execution of the first gaming session.

The objective of the workshop will be to collectively review, discuss between expert about the first set of Detailed Influence models that have been distributed and commented this summer. The meeting start-end on the 11th Sept 10h30-17h30 and 12th Sept 09h00-15h00.
